Why it matters
Sometimes Removing a Tooth Is the Healthiest Choice
An extraction is recommended only when a tooth cannot be predictably saved or keeping it could create further problems. Careful planning helps us protect the surrounding tissues, manage comfort, and decide what should happen after the tooth is removed.
1.
The tooth is carefully evaluated before extraction is recommended.
2.
Planning considers the surrounding bone, gums, and nearby teeth.
3.
Comfort and healing are considered before, during, and after the procedure.
4.
Replacement options can be discussed when removing the tooth leaves a functional or visible gap.
TOOTH EXTRACTIONS IN MECHANICSVILLE
When a tooth cannot be saved, the next step should still be thoughtful.
Some teeth need removal because of severe decay, fracture, infection, periodontal damage or other clinical reasons. We focus on comfort, clear expectations and planning what comes after the extraction.
