GUM DISEASE TREATMENT
Why it matters
Healthy Gums Are the Foundation of a Healthy Smile
Gum disease can develop gradually and may not always cause obvious symptoms at first. Regular evaluation helps us identify inflammation, measure changes over time, and recommend care based on how healthy your gums and supporting tissues are.
1.
Early gum changes can often be identified before they become more advanced.
2.
Measuring gum health helps us understand the severity and progression of disease.

3.
Treatment can be matched to your specific level of gum and bone involvement.
4.
Ongoing maintenance helps protect the gums, teeth, and supporting bone over time.

Follow-up timing is personalized to reduce recurrence risk.
Know more before you decide.
Your recommendation depends on your exam and individual health. These answers are a starting point—not a diagnosis.
-
A routine cleaning is preventive care for generally healthy gums. Periodontal scaling and root planing addresses disease below the gumline when indicated.
-
-
Early gingivitis can often improve substantially with professional care and home hygiene. Periodontitis causes attachment or bone loss that requires ongoing management.
-
-
Bleeding often reflects inflammation, but there can be other contributing factors. An evaluation helps identify the cause.
